POSITION TITLE: Director of Learning and Development
JOB DUTIES: Training. Develop and manage the Montessori teacher training center. Plan and develop core learning strategies and methods to be used for teacher training following the Montessori philosophy, principles and standards. Review and approve new interventions or recommend modifications to existing programs. Plan, conduct or organize orientations sessions, lectures, workshops and seminars. Develop evaluation procedures, set performance goals and objectives and establish policies and procedures to carry them out. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through periodic review and data analysis of performance data and create improvement plans. Review and examine training methods and learning materials to evaluate and determine areas of improvement. Ensure compliance with the Montessori training standards and criteria and relevant local and state code, rules and regulations.
Management/Administration: Establish guidelines and criteria for evaluating teacher trainees for acceptance to the programs. Recruit trainers with relevant skills set. Recruit hire and train training and support staff. Prepare training budget and submit budget requests and recommendations. Determine allocations of funds for staff, supplies, materials, and equipment, and authorized purchases. Direct and supervise the creation of information materials and brochures for the training center. Develop training strategies, plans, or procedures; prepare progress or status reports.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration
or related field; with at least ten (10) years of training experience

Position: Job Duties: Montessori Lead Teacher
Teach pre-school and kindergarten students. Duties will include:
Teaching. Develop, design and implement a developmentally and culturally appropriate curriculum using the Montessori method. Create and facilitate individual and group learning activities that allow for variations in students’ learning styles and performance modes to stimulate growth in dual language, social and emotional skills. Design targeted small group presentations based on students’ assessed level of readiness in Math and Language. Analyze individual and group performances in order to design instruction that meets students’ current needs. Evaluate teaching resources and curriculum requirements for their comprehensiveness, accuracy and usefulness.
Assessment. Observe, assess and document each student’s development. Use assessment results to diagnose students’ learning needs, align and modify instruction and teaching strategies. Meet and discuss students’ assessment levels, behavioral attitudes, achievements and progress with parents and promote the school’s mission, objectives and policies to parents.
Collaboration. May serve as Master Teacher to interns. Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective bilingual learning programs/curriculum for students to ensure that learning standards are met and maintain a positive learning environment.
